When should I seek medical help for earwax removal?

When it comes to looking after your ear health, it can be tricky to know where to draw the line between what’s normal and when you should seek medical help. That’s why we’re here at Ear Wax Care to bust any myths about ear wax, and to give you some top advice on how to deal with ear wax build up.

Ear wax is a natural secretion which is produced by glands in the ear canal. It is primarily made up of sebum, but it also collects dirt, dead skin cells and sweat. The good thing about your ears is that they are self-cleaning, which means that ear wax naturally moves the dirt and dead skin cells from deep inside the ear to the entrance of the canal. Moreover, it coats the inside of the ear canal and acts as a protective layer against dirt and bacteria.

So, when do I need to have my ears professionally cleaned? There are a number of symptoms which suggest that you should consider options such as microsuction. For example, if your ears feel blocked, you hear a ringing sound in your ear, or if you experience pain from inside your ear.

Luckily, our team here at Ear Wax Care wants to help! We offer a range of services, including microsuction. This is a safe and highly effective procedure for removing excess ear wax. In this procedure, we use a handheld microsuction device. Our trained team will suck the wax out, gently dislodging and removing impacting ear wax.
