EAR WAX

Are there over-the-counter earwax removal products?

It is surprisingly common for people to experience excess ear wax at some point in their life. This can be for a number of reasons, whether that’s lifestyle factors, or biological factors. Some symptoms of having excess ear wax include having an earache, having a feeling of fullness in your ear, experiencing hearing loss, or having dizziness. Luckily, there are many easy ways to easily remove excess ear wax!

First things first, how do you know if you have excess ear wax? There are a number of signs to suggest that you have excess ear wax. For example, if you have a feeling of fullness in your ear, ringing or noises in your ear (which could indicate you have tinnitus), or an earache, these are all signs you may have excess ear wax.

If you’re looking for an at-home option, there are a number of products which are sold at local pharmacies that you could look into buying. However, here at Ear Wax Care, we suggest to our customers that they use olive oil drops instead. This is an easy and safe option for if you want to remove excess ear wax.

All you have to do is add 2 to 3 drops to your ear, whilst lying on your side. Repeat this 3 to 4 times a day, for 3 to 5 days. Over the course of 2 weeks, you’ll notice that the wax will fall out of your ears.

If after these 2 weeks, you’re still experiencing symptoms, then we would suggest that you get in touch with our team here at Ear Wax Care to discuss how we can help. We offer a range of treatment options, including microsuction, so contact our friendly team today to discuss!
